St. Paul's University Chapel on Pligrimage at Namugongo

CWA ST. PAUL'S UNIVERSITY CHAPEL, NAIROBI ON PILGRIMAGE AT NAMUGONGO SHRINE

Today we had the great joy of hosting 43 pilgrims from the Catholic Women Association (CWA), St. Paul's University Chapel, Nairobi, Kenya, led by their Chaplain Rev. Fr. Gerald Wanjara.

The mothers of faith arrived at the Uganda Martyrs Catholic Shrine, Namugongo as part of their spiritual pilgrimage to Namugongo and onwards to Kibeho, Rwanda.

Their program at the Shrine was full of grace:

They joined the 10:00 AM Holy Mass inside the Basilica, lifting their prayers and thanksgiving to God through the intercession of the Uganda Martyrs.

After Mass, they prayed the Way of the Cross inside the Church at around 2:00pm, meditating on the suffering and victory of Christ and His Martyrs.

Later, they were taken on a guided tour around the Shrine by our Chief Pilgrim Guide, Mr. Ben Tenywa, who shared with them the deep history of the Martyrs, the story of the Shrine, and the faith journey of St. Charles Lwanga and companions.

The pilgrims were full of joy and deeply moved by the experience.

We thank Fr. Gerald for bringing the CWA mothers to this holy land. We pray for their intentions, their families back home, and for a safe journey as they continue to Kibeho to meet Our Lady.
