ST. JAMES BUUZAABALYAWO
He was a Muganda, born to Ssebayigga at Ttabazimu in Mawokota County between 1856 and 1876.
He was brought up in the house hold of his royal niece, princess Namukaabya. Andrew Kaggwa sent him to prince Mwanga (who later became king) to put him through prayer and catechism because of his considerable influence.
He was baptized on the 16th of November 1885 by Fr. Girault, and later on beaten by Kabaka Mwanga for trying to teach him Christianity.
He was burnt alive on the 3rd of June 1886 at the age of about twenty six years.
