ST. KIZITO
He was a Muganda, born in about 1872 at Waluleeta in the county of Bulemezi.
He served Kabaka Mwanga as a page in the private quarter of the enclosure, worked much as the Kabaka’s errand boy whom he often sent to collect cattle selected for slaughter for the royal table.
He was jolly and constantly besought Fr. Lourdel Simeon Mapeera for baptism but due to his age, the priest was always reluctant, so he was baptized by Charles Lwanga on the 26th of May shortly before they were sentence to death.
He was burnt alive in Namugongo on the 3rd of June 1886 at the age of 14.
ST. KIZITO IS THE PATRON OF YOUNG CHILDREN ESPECIALLY THOSE BELOW FIFTEEN YEARS.
